Thunderbird Lodge Tours is operated by the Navajo Nation Hospitality Enterprise, an Enterprise which is wholly owned by the Navajo Nation. Our focus is on hiring and training Navajos while offering quality tourism services on the Navajo Nation. Our Navajo guides teach you the history of the canyons and about Ancestral Pueblo (Anasazi), Hopi and Navajo peoples. We offer you more than just an opportunity to view the majestic scenery, every Navajo guide is a professional, certified by the National Park Service and the Navajo Nation Parks and Recreation Department, as well as CPR and first aid certified.

Directions
From Holbrook, Arizona:
- Take the AZ-77 N exit, EXIT 292 towards Keams Canyon, then drive 33.7 miles.
- Turn right onto Indian Route 15, then drive 34.3 miles.
- Indian Route 15 becomes US-191 N, then drive 30.4 miles to Chinle.
- Turn right onto BIA Indian Route 7/Main Street, drive 3 miles, just past the Visitors Center.
- WELCOME to Thunderbird Lodge
From Kayenta, Arizona:
- From Kayenta, go east on US-160, for 8.3 miles
- Turn right onto Indian Route 59, then drive 44.2 miles
- Turn right onto US-191 S, then go 13.9 miles to Chinle
- Turn left onto BIA Indian Route 7/Main Street, drive 3 miles, just past the Visitors Center.
